The Bridge Is Finally Done! Er, Except For 3 Missing Boards Concrete Videos Lessons - How To Concrete DVD Tutorials

http://www.crystallake.name/twork/16aug08/16aug08.phpThe lower bridge going in at the Environmental Education Center at Rincon in the Angeles National Forest in the San Gabriel Mountains is finally finished.\n\nActually there are three boards that are missing which we will get next week, perhaps.\n\nThis has been a lengthy project -- something like 2 years -- because we have not worked on it from start to finish. Many, many projects have taken place while this bridge has been built, and finally we decided that a push was needed to complete the project so that we don\'t have to worry about it any more.\n\nThe bridge is part of the nature hike that exists behind the Environmental Center which volunteers take many kids through every year.\n\nThe bridge is massively heavy with deep footing. The concrete dogbone matrix is drilled and pinned together with rebar tie points, and hundreds of thousands of pounds of boulders, rocks, gravel, sand, and dirthave been carried in by volunteers to build the bridge.\n\nThe San Gabriel Mountains Trailbuilders did most of the work and organized all of the effort however volunteers from several other organizations and individual volunteers have participated over the length of this project to finally complete the new bridge.\n\nAnd it looks great!\n\nThe Fisheries poeople http://www.frvc.org/\nbrought us lunch!
