appleseed always had a surreal perspective on events; at times he felt like he could almost see music and sound and he used this unique perspective alongside inspiration from his surroundings to satirise his day to day life and the people around him through rap lyrics and poetry.(The Underground Scene) \n\nappleseed then went on to mc for local pirate radio with DJ Kronik and Wackey, creating his first proper track a.p.p.le.s.e.ed at 15. This was released on the award winning Split Mic - (Mixtape) put together by DJ Twin B (1xtra) and DJ Crsies - (Rinse FM). The tape alsofeatured other London based artists like Lethal Bizzle, Kano, Wackey, Klashnekoff, J2K, Tor and Dirty Goodz. \n\n(2008.. Let Me Finish School First!)\n\nEmboldened by the positive response to the mixtape, appleseed continued to learn and experiment lyrically and musically, culminating in the present dayrelease of the Concrete Jungle EP, engineered by Andrew Fryer. Apart from being a member of Celtic band Ceredwen, Fryer has been a Music Editor for Polydor Records, formed Dance label Futurasound and worked with Shara Nelson, Mica Paris, KT Tunstall, Blak Twang, Groove Armada, Gary Grainger (Rod Stewart), Guy Pratt (Pink Floyd), Beverley Knight, Ali Campbell (UB40) and Soul 2 Soul amongst others. \n\nAndrew Fryer understands the importance of appleseeds rugged vocals in the mix and has successfully managed to make them sound professional while retaining appleseeds London Sound and making it accessible to all audiences.\n\n(The Singles..)\n\nMickey Dyson\nManaging money and debts, spending your loan too quickly, buying impractical things these are all common issues that students have to deal with and learn from. This track refers to some common experiences of money from Mickeys perspective andalso shows how money (or the lack of it) can change your relationships with others. As Mickey says in the song: Ill have a wad of some more enemies please.\n\nNancy (Clean) \n\nWith a cheeky, bouncy sing-along sound, Nancy tells the story of a girl that Mickey likes, who wants to wait before getting serious as she doesnt trust him. Things keep going wrong for poor Mickey Nancys housemate gets in the way, his friends say he always seems to choose girls who just wanna be mates, and to top it all off he has a party in his pants but no one to share it with! The single Nancy, was written by appleseeds songwriting partner Semi di Mela, who also contributed on Mickey Dyson, Get Rid, Cigarettes and In Time. appleseed says: I reckon Semi is a genius!
