This is a movie made in about the spring of 1981, and shows the concrete paving that we did to finish off Joe\'s pool. Joe and Bonnie\'s house was in a subdivision in Independence, Kentucky. Joe decided he wanted a pool in his backyard, so he rented a skid loader to excavate the pool foundation. Joe was particularly enthralled by this machine, and decided to try some acrobatics with it. Sadly, the loader bounced on its rubber tires and fell on its side. During the accident, the front bucket retracted on Joes leg, causing him multiple bone fractures.So we organized a pool party to install the concrete sidewalks for Joe, while he recuperated. Thats Joe in the movie, shouting instructions with his crutches nearby. At the time, hewasnt particularly delighted with me operating the movie camera. He told me it gave the other workers bad morale as they were doing hard work and I wasn\'t. Despite this I persevered, and now we have this invaluable record of the event.
