Israel Preserving a Natural Landmark Concrete Videos Lessons - How To Concrete DVD Tutorials

CHAN:With the onslaught of today\'s technology, cities are growing bigger and green land is shrinking. In this next report, our Israeli team tells us about the struggle to preserve one endangered beach.STORY: \nPalmachim Beach, in the center of Israel, is one of the country\'s last wild beaches with ancient archaeological significance. But the beach\'s days may be numbered. Apparently, two wealthy promoters have bought Palmachim Beach to build a tourist resort. \n\n[Adv. Meital Damary, Palmachim Beach Supporter]: \n\"The project includes 350 suites, two floors of suites, on this beach that we see over here. It\'s going to be like a small mall.\"\n\n18-year-old Adi Lustig was the first to see the fence go up reducing public access to the beach. Adi was shocked to learn about the tourist resort that was soon to be built. Supported by nature lovers and concerned citizens, Adi initiated several protests.\n\n[Adi Lustig, Palmachim Beach Supporter]:\n\"We tried to reach parliament members to come to the beach. They have opened a committee in the parliament, the internal committee has discussed the Palmachim issue and they have helped us push this. Also, the state auditor has in the meantime ordered to stop the excavations and opened an in-depth investigation.\"\n\nA protest tent with literature and support petitions went up a couple of months ago. \n\n[Adi Lustig, Palmachim Beach Supporter]:\n\"What we see here is actually a fence. There is a fence but no, there aren\'t any concrete foundations and there is nothing, and there is no reason not to stop this. There is a tremendous objection against this thing and truly everybody, everybody is opposed to this and don\'t want this here. \n\n[Adv. Meital Damary, Palmachim Beach Supporter]: \n\"To broaden the regional and national awareness to a world wide awareness - that it\'s a pity to give up on nature, it\'s a pity to ruin it, because these thing are not always able to be restored.\"\n\nThe struggle to save Palmachim Beach has been going on since January. The verdict is not in yet, but hopes are high that the government will cancel the deal.\n\nIf nature and preserving natural landmarks are important to you, feel free to contact: savepalmachim@gmail.com \n\nNTD, Palmachim Beach, Israel.
